Social Media Cafe – Dates for September onwards announced

August 16, 2016 - 2 minutes read

The idea is to provide a relaxed setting where small local businesses can ask questions about their social media marketing activity and get practical help and advice – over a coffee, as it’s a social media cafe. And it’s free!

You can ask about Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+… whatever platforms you want to use. Or we can even talk about websites, blogging, SEO and email newsletters. Clair will answer all the questions she can, give demonstrations where possible, and if she don’t know the answer there and then she’ll look it up and get back to you.

From ‘what is Twitter for?’ to ‘should I advertise on Facebook?’, plus a whole heap of ‘why does XX happen?’ – no question will be too silly, no answer too obvious. If you’re not sure, just ask – we promise no-one will laugh (they’ll probably be relieved that you’ve asked about something they’re wondering about).

We launched the Social Media Cafe in early 2016 as an early evening event, but the timing didn’t seem to suit a lot of the people who wanted to attend.  We are now looking to bring it to you in the afternoon during the work week.

We have aimed for the second Thursday of the month from 2-4pm, but we have a few exceptions to allow for prior engagements and things like Easter holidays.

Thursday 15th September
Thursday 13th October
Thursday 10th November
Thursday 8th December
