Spring has Sprung!

We’ve been blessed with the kind of sunshine that people fly abroad for.  We have stunning scenery.  We have friendly people.  We have so much to see and do here.  Devon is amazing.  Especially when the sun’s out!

For those of us with kids, the Easter holidays are a time for trying to juggle work around spending more time with them and trying to make sure it’s quality time.  Luckily, we have lots of places with zero mobile reception, so your emails cannot chase you around beaches or over moorland 😉

In town we have the Tavistock Easter Bunny Hunt running until noon on Easter Saturday.  50 local shops and businesses are participating, all donating a prize and it is one winner takes all!  …somebody is going to have a lot of chocolate to eat and share!

Prize draw winner is being annouced at 3pm at Miss Ivy’s Easter PetFest – a cornucopia of Pet paraphenalia with over 40 stalls offering pet products, a first aid workshop, an Easter bonnet competition, an animal behaviour workshop, a dog show, children’s pet workshops, a pet photobooth and lots more!  All proceeds from dog Show go to Gables Farm. Entry £2.00 under 12’s free (this includes all workshops) Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.

If you’re looking to go out for the day, I would heartily recommend Buckland Abbey – a stunning National trust property down the road in Buckland Monachorum, once home to Sir Francis Drake.  It is currently showing off a Rembrandt, hosting an Easter Egg hunt and they even have wet felting classes for the kids.

Enjoy!  We never know how long the sunshine will last 🙂
